Sexual assault is a serious issue in the United States; add in the intricacies of being a military man or woman, and the problem becomes compounded. It can be difficult for military personnel to navigate the justice system of their employers, and while most veterans and active soldiers find themselves on the receiving end of much respect and admiration from civilians, they often find that higher-level military officers do not always extend the same level of respect.
